Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan notes with regret that at the regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council held in Yerevan on November 23, they failed to reach a common denominator regarding two very important documents. However, despite this circumstance, Pashinyan positively assesses the discussion that took place during the CSTO session.

Prime Minister Pashinyan stated at the government session that a very open, sincere and positive discussion had taken place.

“Those two documents have been sent for revision, and I hope that we will be able to reach a common denominator. But overall, despite the fact that we did not sign the CSTO declaration and the CSTO response decision regarding the September 13 aggression, and they were not adopted, I generally consider the discussion positive, and I also consider the negotiations held in a bilateral format with the Russian Federation positive,” said Pashinyan, expressing the hope that the agreements that have been recorded will be implemented as quickly as possible.

The CSTO summit was held in Yerevan on November 23, chaired by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. During the summit, Armenia refused to sign the CSTO declaration and the draft decision on providing assistance to Armenia in connection with Azerbaijan’s attack. Armenia justified its decision by the fact that those documents were not sufficiently comprehensive.
