RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of March 8.
“This holiday is celebrated with particular warmth and reverence in our society, which testifies to the special role and invaluable contribution of women in our society, which is also the result of the respect and boundless love shown toward you by your husbands, brothers, fathers and sons:
I especially wish to bow my head before the memory of our women servicemen and volunteers, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland during the 44-day war:
I pay tribute to our women whose heroic sons, husbands and brothers fell heroically in the Artsakh war:
I also warmly congratulate those women whose sons, husbands and brothers today still stand at the borders and continue their devoted service to the homeland, as well as those women who themselves have stood or today still stand on the front line of the homeland’s defense:
The courage and patriotism you, your sons, husbands and brothers have shown in the defense of the homeland will serve as an example for all future generations,” the message said.
On the occasion of Women’s Rights Protection Day, the Prime Minister deemed it important to note that in our country there is still much to be done to enhance the role of women and ensure equal rights and equal opportunities.
“It must also be noted that the state is making efforts in that direction. Our task is to create such opportunities that will allow you to express all your creative abilities and knowledge, and to feel maximally protected and appreciated:
It is thanks to you that our nation’s finest traditions and the strong Armenian family are preserved. It is the result of your devotion and great strength that you are able to raise educated and patriotic generations for our nation”:
