In Armenia, as of 11:00 on 17 August, a total of 41,701 cases of the coronavirus disease have been confirmed, of which 34,655 have recovered.
This was stated on the website of the National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the RA Ministry of Health.
At this moment, 5,978 infected individuals are actually receiving treatment for the coronavirus disease. In total, 185,594 tests have been conducted.
Thus, we have 38 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease and 71 recovered.
6 new deaths from the coronavirus disease have been recorded (the total number of deaths reached 824).
The RA Ministry of Health reported that the deceased patients were men aged 59 and 45, and women aged 72, 82, 82 and 74. All had accompanying chronic diseases.
One more case was recorded in which patients tested positive for the coronavirus infection, but death occurred due to another disease. The total number of such cases is 244.
