In the current situation, conditioned by the state of martial law, the concentration of our joint efforts becomes key. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said this on 2 November during the session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, during the discussion of the draft budget for 2021.
According to him, Armenia has succeeded in ensuring a stable macroeconomic environment both in 2019 and in 2020, which is an unprecedented success, especially under the conditions of the pandemic and the war unleashed by Azerbaijan with the active support of Turkey.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reminded that the work of revising the country’s long-term development and sectoral strategies began in 2018, and by 2019 numerous adjustments had already been made both in the sectoral strategies and in the overall strategy.
“It is obvious that 2021 will be tense, but I am confident that thanks to joint work we will be able to have a budget in which all possible dangers and challenges will be taken into account, all necessary means will be concentrated for their effective neutralisation, since that will ensure the country’s socio-economic development, stability and security,” Grigoryan stressed.
