A Facebook post by Arman Papazyan, leader of the “For the Republic” party:
“Armenia faces two major challenges — external and internal. Cooperation with the United States and other centres of power can become a means of restraining Azerbaijan. Who is to neutralise the internal threat? Kocharyan is launching a movement that will lead the country to upheaval, knowing full well that he lacks public support and trust.
His accomplice, former Foreign Minister Oskanyan, recently offered a brief analysis whose conclusion was that Armenia needs a new negotiator, an unvarnished hint that a process of removing the current government must begin.
What is Kocharyan, who has expressed readiness to take up the banner of a new movement, hoping for, if not to spread chaos, killings and terrorism in the country? Kocharyan is incapable of waging honest political struggle. The pack’s new plan to blow up the country from within must be strangled in its cradle. You have a new prosecutor; have the will, so that we can focus our attention on neutralising external threats.”
