The suicide of former Director of the National Security Service Kevork Kudoyan was committed for narrowly personal motives. This was stated by the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Hayk Grigoryan, in an interview with 1in.am.
“Kevork Kudoyan’s wife, Hasmik Bisharyan, has submitted a request to the body conducting the proceedings, so that we do not disclose any information about the motive for the suicide without their consent. At this moment, the murder hypothesis is not being considered. At this moment, the investigation is proceeding under the suicide hypothesis. Taking into account Hasmik Bisharyan’s request, I can say that the suicide was committed for narrowly personal motives. Allow me not to reveal the quotes, because there is a request from the victim’s legal successor,” said Grigoryan.
The chairman of the Investigative Committee noted that about 10 forensic examinations have been ordered to determine the circumstances of Kevork Kudoyan’s death. As of now, more than 90 witnesses have been questioned, decryptions of incoming and outgoing phone calls have been requested, and inquiries have been sent to various international organisations.
