On the initiative of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, a significant publication bearing the title “Devoted to the Cause” (Kaghabi Nvirumov) recently saw the light of day. Its splendid presentation ceremony took place on Monday, September 18, in the capital city of Yerevan.
The event, organized by the ADL Central Board and the Republican Board, and enjoying the cooperation of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, was held in the hall of that state institution’s headquarters located on Vazgen Sargsyan Street.
Present at the ceremony were high-ranking state officials, leading figures of esteemed educational and cultural institutions, representatives of the media, Ramgavar Azadagan members who had arrived from abroad as well as those residing in the homeland, and a notable number of supporters.
After the standing rendition of the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia and the march of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, the opening remarks were delivered by the Vice-Chairman of the ADL Central Board and Commissioner for Armenia, Aleksan Garatanayan, who then invited the Head of the Departments of Strategy Development and Repatriation Affairs of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Mr. Hovhannes Aleksanyan, to conduct the day’s program.
The first welcoming address was delivered by the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Zareh Sinanyan, who, after noting that he considers highly commendable the fact that the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party has, from the very beginning, consistently lent its support to Armenian statehood, expressed his joy and congratulations on the occasion of the new publication.
The next welcoming address was delivered by the Chairman of the ADL Republican Board, Hrachya Karapetyan, who emphasized the importance of knowing and remembering the past in our lives. He then noted that the ADL’s new publication is already the third in the last few years to bring to the public’s attention a series of historically significant documents related to the party.
The singer Hrand Mouradyan performed a successful rendition of the song “Ramgavari Troshn Oosis” (The Ramgavar Flag in My Hand), created on the occasion of the ADL centennial, with organ accompaniment by Sargis Adamyan, who is the composer of the song’s music.
A magnificent presentation of the new volume was given by archival expert Mrs. Knarik Bedrosyan, who, with a slide show and professional skill, presented the volume and its constituent parts in detail and with appreciation, highly valuing the national ideology professed by the party and the more than a century-long, perfectly devoted national service deriving from it.
The distinguished philologist Mrs. Lala Minasyan expressed herself in eulogistic terms regarding the positive impressions she had gained of the volume and the important role the ADL plays within Armenian reality.
The Vice-Chairman of the ADL Central Board and editor of the new volume, Asadour Devletyan, in his solid and impressive speech, importantly raised the ADL’s patriotic and unshakable conviction that our people and homeland are eternal, and everything else is entirely circumstantial.
Then, the singer Hrand Mouradyan gave a successful interpretation of the beloved song “Azg Parapanz” (Glorious Nation).
After the conclusion of the program, a reception was held in the foyer.
