Russian Federation Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Yerevan on November 22-23 to participate in CSTO events. This was announced by Ivan Nechayev, deputy head of the information and press department of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, the minister will participate in a joint session of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers, and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO.
During the upcoming meetings, an exchange of views is planned on the military-political situation in the CSTO Collective Security regions and on the organization’s activities during the interim period. Participants in the session will discuss a package of decisions concerning foreign policy, military, and counter-terrorism cooperation within the organization’s framework.
Nechayev noted that approval is planned for a number of documents, including the summary declaration to be presented for approval to the CSTO Collective Security Council.
