There is no doubt that these days, as a nation, we are living through the most calamitous, the most horrifying, the most perilous and perhaps also the most fateful period of our recent history.
This supremely explosive situation demands that we all be perfectly vigilant, discerning with watchful care, but above all, unbreakably united.
It is clear that we all have various concerns, alarming anxieties, reservations that raise doubts, and a mounting anger. At this fearsome moment, however, we have two fundamental issues, two life-and-death challenges, and it is unquestionably necessary that we focus our full collective attention upon them.
Our foremost nationwide task is the provision and guarantee of the complete security of our sisters and brothers in Artsakh, as well as respect for all human rights.
Our second most important preoccupation must be the safeguarding of our statehood and sovereignty; with devoted efforts it is necessary that we preserve those two sacred values upon which our very national existence depends.
At this extremely decisive moment, national unity in its entirety is vitally necessary for us; now is not the time to discredit one another, to provoke one another appropriately or inappropriately, to make accusations and slanders, to settle accounts with those guilty whether justifiably or not, or else to engage in analyses. Equally inappropriate is the idle pastime of informed or presumed commentary on foreign policies.
The time is dire. Let us stand firm before our destiny.
With unyielding unity, let us face the immense calamities confronting us.
