Many of the Videos About Captured Soldiers Have Unknown Origin and No Connection to Artsakh: NSS

Dear compatriots, in recent days, videos concerning captured soldiers and civilians have gained wide circulation on the internet, which have an unknown origin, and according to data received, in many cases have no connection with the military operations that took place in the Republic of Artsakh. The NSS issued a statement on this matter. The statement also said: “The dissemination of these images, filmed in various foreign countries and often deliberately edited, is understandably creating panic among the Armenian public, negatively affecting public sentiment. Dear compatriots, in recent days, videos concerning captured soldiers and civilians have gained wide circulation on the internet, which have an unknown origin, and according to data received, in many cases have no connection with the military operations that took place in the Republic of Artsakh. The NSS issued a statement on this matter.

The statement also said: “The dissemination of these images, filmed in various foreign countries and often deliberately edited, is understandably creating panic among the Armenian public, negatively affecting public sentiment.

Taking into account the existence of such phenomena, the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia urges the public to refrain from spreading such videos on the internet and, in this sphere as well, to be guided exclusively by information provided by official information sources.”
