A meeting was held between the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the MFA spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan announced.
Ararat Mirzoyan said in a Twitter post: “A very productive meeting. Glad to be back in Washington and to reaffirm our strong partnership with the US. Over the past 3 decades, Armenia and the US have developed an effective cooperation anchored in shared values of democracy, respect for human rights and the rule of law.”
During the meeting of the heads of the foreign policy departments of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding was signed.
It should be noted that Ararat Mirzoyan will also have meetings in Washington with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, USAID Administrator Samantha Power, US President’s Special Assistant Amanda Sloat and other partners.
Meetings will also take place with high-ranking representatives of the US Congress.
Within the framework of the visit, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia will deliver a speech at the Atlantic Council think tank.
