On 27 June 2022, the delegation of the Political Council of the For the Republic Party, headed by party chairman Arman Babajanyan, hosted at the party office the delegation of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (ADL), headed by chairman Mike Kharapyan, who was in Yerevan on the occasion of participation in the celebrations dedicated to the ADL’s centennial jubilee.
During the meeting, which passed in an atmosphere of sincerity, warmth and value-based consensus on the most important issues of Armenia’s domestic and foreign policy agendas, a wide range of questions were discussed relating to the stability and internal security of our state, the democratic freedoms and rights of citizens, the process of democratic reforms and post-war reconstruction. Detailed attention was given to the existential challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh, and a discussion developed on the ways to overcome them.
Particular emphasis was placed on the imperative of a new quality of Armenia-Diaspora relations, stressing the necessity of involving the Diaspora’s immense experience and potential in the work of modernising and establishing socio-political institutions in the Homeland.
During the meeting, the chairman of the ADL was presented with the original of the official congratulatory message of the For the Republic Party on the occasion of the party’s centennial jubilee, and understandings were reached regarding the periodicity of political consultations aimed at harmonising positions on issues of strategic importance, practical cooperation in the future, and mutual visits.
