Armenia’s National Assembly has adopted, in the second reading, the government’s package of draft laws on establishing an anti-corruption court, with 80 votes in favor, 33 against and 1 abstention.
The anti-corruption court is to have 15 judges, of whom 10 must be judges specializing in the examination of corruption offenses and 5 judges specializing in civil cases related to corruption.
The anti-corruption court is to examine lawsuits related to the state’s property and non-property interests, as well as lawsuits filed regarding the confiscation of property of illicit origin.
