The National Assembly adopted in the first reading the draft constitutional amendments presented by a group of deputies of the “My Step” faction, which proposes to replace the President of the Constitutional Court and the members (judges) of the Constitutional Court who have served for a total duration of no less than 12 years.
The draft law was adopted unanimously with 89 “for” votes.
Only the “My Step” faction participated in the parliamentary session. The “Prosperous Armenia” and “Bright Armenia” factions had announced that they would not participate in the extraordinary session of the National Assembly.
