The Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia has presented several examples regarding the deep roots of Armenophobia and hostility in Azerbaijan. On his Facebook page, he wrote:
“Additional evidence regarding the deep roots of Armenophobia and hostility in Azerbaijan. This time, [some] from the posts of real users of Azerbaijani social media —
1) “We must kill both Armenian women and Armenian children,” — member of the Azerbaijani Bar Association.
2) I do not feel sorry for an Armenian child. The best Armenian is a dead Armenian.
3) We must kill the surviving Armenians. Torture them before killing.
4) I want Armenians who have been stripped naked and raped.
5) The vile Armenians must be killed and disappear from this planet, and all those who side with them must be killed in the same way.
6) There should be no place left for Armenians in this world. I hate them. All the heartless Armenians must be killed.
7) I have simply fallen in love with Ilham Aliyev’s words that we drive them away like dogs.
8) No living Armenian should remain in Karabakh.
9) Publication of the results of a parent’s questioning of his children.
– Who is our enemy?
– Armenia
– What do we feel towards them?
– Hatred
– Raise your hands and repeat: we will drive you out of Karabakh like dogs
– We will drive you out of Karabakh like dogs.
10) With a picture of a beheaded Armenian soldier, mocking polls on a specially opened Turkish-Azerbaijani channel of the “Telegram” social network, asking what users feel when they see a beheaded Armenian.
11) And other manifestations of hostility:
The main issue here is that the aforementioned posts use the same words as the Azerbaijani authorities and cultural figures. Moreover, these posts include both Azerbaijani and Turkish sources.
The same words are also used by Azerbaijani military personnel in videos of torturing Armenians and inhuman treatment.
The details are reflected in the 2020 joint extraordinary report of the Human Rights Defenders of Armenia and Artsakh, which was prepared based on the results of monitoring conducted during the war of September-November 2020: https://www.ombuds.am/images/files/2032f021fe81176414a649d588ad0e86.pdf?fbclid=IwAR2K80Wb2QMoa3DDkCYlJrOrhfJj7pcePFdRbWOGnu__bV4wWz5Mso0O4mY “:
