Noune Sargsyan Elected Extraordinary Advocate for Children’s Rights in Armenia

Noune Sargsyan, the wife of the President of the Republic of Armenia, participated in a solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of UNICEF’s activities in Armenia, held at the Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran). During the event marking the 25th anniversary, certificates were presented to long-serving UNICEF staff members, and Noune Sargsyan, the wife of the President of the Republic of Armenia, was elected Extraordinary Advocate for Children’s Rights in Armenia. UNICEF began its activities in Armenia in 1994 and supports the Armenian government in developing and implementing reforms aimed at protecting the rights of children

Noune Sargsyan, the wife of the President of the Republic of Armenia, participated in a solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of UNICEF’s activities in Armenia, held at the Mesrop Mashtots Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran).

During the event marking the 25th anniversary, certificates were presented to long-serving UNICEF staff members, and Noune Sargsyan, the wife of the President of the Republic of Armenia, was elected Extraordinary Advocate for Children’s Rights in Armenia.

UNICEF began its activities in Armenia in 1994 and supports the Armenian government in developing and implementing reforms aimed at protecting the rights of children in Armenia, with particular attention to the most needy and vulnerable children.
