“The transition from isolation to self-isolation will require an overexertion of forces, because when we were keeping hotels open, spending forces and huge sums of money, that was an essential anti-epidemic measure, because from the hotels alone we had 1,000 cases, that is, we could have left 1,000 cases out, and they could have been potential carriers of infection for other citizens. With isolation we were able to contain that. Now we cannot do that, and self-isolation must be our main tool,” Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said during today’s remote discussion with members of the Public Council.
According to the Minister, it is not known when all this will end, and we must be prepared to fight against it as long as there is no vaccine or medication that fights the disease.
“In a few months it will not be better. It could be relatively good or bad,” the Minister said.
