Number of War Victims Reaches 3,809; 199 Soldiers and 21 Civilians Missing

The preliminary investigation into the unleashing and conduct of an aggressive war against the Republic of Artsakh by the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues in the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Military Investigative Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Within the framework of the criminal case, it has been established that the total number of soldiers and civilians killed in the Republics of Artsakh and Armenia as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan amounts to 3,809 persons. The preliminary investigation into the unleashing and conduct of an aggressive war against the Republic of Artsakh by the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues in the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Military Investigative Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Within the framework of the criminal case, it has been established that the total number of soldiers and civilians killed in the Republics of Artsakh and Armenia as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan amounts to 3,809 persons.

As of 19 January 2022, the whereabouts of 199 soldiers and 21 civilians remain unknown.

To date, Azerbaijan has handed over to Armenia a total of 141 captured soldiers and civilians.
