The Western America Regional Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party announces the unexpected death of the former chairman of this region, a devoted party member, a great patriot, a member of the ADL Central Board and the general secretary of the Armenian Rights Council, Comrade Ara Aharonian, which occurred on Wednesday, 5 May 2021, in Los Angeles.
The highly meritorious Comrade Aharonian had held and continued to hold various positions within the Armenian community, undertook responsibilities and had his own distinct place within the community, always ready to serve his homeland through the ADL and the TMM:
It is still far too early to grasp and absorb the magnitude of this loss. The deserving comrade was born in 1952 in Tripoli, Lebanon. For decades he remained at the forefront, worked selflessly and was the organizer of the ADL’s West Coast region. He contributed to the continued publication of the “Nor Or” official organ, and through his diligent collaboration, he set an example for many.
Comrade Aharonian left unfinished various works, projects, and “great dreams” which we are obligated to continue and realize. Today, the entire Armenian Democratic Liberal Party is in mourning.
On this sad occasion, in the name of the ADL Western America Regional Board and the entire membership, we express our condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, relatives, all party and union comrades, and the ADL “Gersam Aharonian” Club of Glendale-Pasadena.
May God keep his soul in peace and light:
Your loss is irreparable, dear Comrade Aharonian:
With warm feelings of sympathy,
ADL WESTERN AMERICA REGIONAL BOARD
P.S. In consultation with the deceased’s family, condolences will be received at the TMM Beshgeturian Center in Altadena. Please follow our announcements.
