The Artsakh Defense Army continues to present the modern-day heroes who have distinguished themselves with great heroism these days.
According to the Defense Army, Lieutenant Colonel Arayik Avagimyan is among the brave Armenian sons nominated for the “Battle Cross” 2nd degree order. He is to receive the high state honor for his skilled and organized actions of his artillery unit and precise calculations, thanks to which significant losses were inflicted on enemy forces and the latter’s attempts to advance were halted.
State honors of the same order are to be awarded to Sergeant Garik Karen Hamamyan for destroying 2 enemy artillery pieces, Sergeant Hayk Arkadi Amirjanyan, Private Eduard Armen Sargsyan, Lieutenant Tigran Harutyun Karapetyan, Sergeant Armen Yuri Avetisyan for destroying two enemy artillery pieces each, and Senior Lieutenant Levon Robert Altunyan for neutralizing 3 enemy artillery pieces.
