On the 28th anniversary of the Armenian Army
With what pride must one write about an army whose spiritual fortitude is the sturdiest pillar of the Armenian spiritual edifice:
In all phases of the 28-year history of the Third Republic of Armenia, the re-established Armenian Army became a reliable mainstay for all segments of the Armenian people:
Our people living on the soil of Armenia entrusted to the army’s mighty will and valiant arms the greatest guarantee of its existence — the security of Armenia’s borders:
The Armenian people scattered across the world made the presence of the strong Armenian Army a point of reference in their aspirations, hopes for the future, and all struggles to come:
Our army became the refuge of unity and solidarity:
From it were born our heroes of today, and within it were forged the brave fighters who hold unwavering devotion and boundless love for the Armenian soil:
The Armenian Army was born in blood, was baptised in the font of heroes, and walked through the ages along the path of the fedayeen who turned their blood into a vow upon the peaks of our impregnable mountains:
There we all became one. The principle of one for all and all for the Armenian Army took wing and bridged the nation-army creed:
The April Four-Day War became a new baptism for the Armenian Army, where our sons who had completed twenty springs wrote new pages of valour and, becoming a shining example of patriotism, gave new colour to our age-old struggle:
The army became a part of us. Living in our blood, rising from our spirit, and bringing us closer to our essence:
Its glorious feats shall long be remembered and heal all the wounds of our past:
The 28-year-old Armenian Army, passing through the abyss of calamities, struggles, and wars, is the most powerful fortress of the strength of our young and valiant statehood:
Its holiday is a holiday of joy, devotion, and sacrifice:
In the heart of every Armenian, in the soul of every Armenian — as flesh and blood, as body and relic:
As a shrine of the vow, a home of heroes — our Armenian Army:
