Pashinyan and Putin Discuss Gas Tariff Issue by Phone

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Prime Minister’s Office of Armenia, the parties discussed issues related to the supply of natural gas to Armenia and exchanged information on steps being taken to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. It was noted that the situation in both countries in this regard is fully under control. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Prime Minister’s Office of Armenia, the parties discussed issues related to the supply of natural gas to Armenia and exchanged information on steps being taken to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. It was noted that the situation in both countries in this regard is fully under control.

Pashinyan expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the steps taken to ensure the uninterrupted transportation of cargo from Armenia to Russia and for effective cooperation with the Russian Federal Service for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Well-being, “Rospotrebnadzor.”

The parties supported the idea of convening an extraordinary session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council via video link. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of frequent communication both in a bilateral format and within the framework of the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union).
