Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan attended the opening of the Summit for Democracy, held online at the initiative of US President Joe Biden. This was reported by the Armenian government.
Leaders and representatives of more than one hundred countries are taking part in the two-day event.
Joe Biden delivered the opening remarks at the summit, after which the discussions began.
Representatives of civil society organisations and the private sector are also participating in the summit.
The agenda of the two-day discussions includes issues related to countering threats to democracy, fighting corruption and protecting human rights.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s speech at the Summit for Democracy is scheduled for 10 December.
