Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation took place at the initiative of the Armenian side, according to the Kremlin’s official website.
The leaders of the two countries discussed the sharp escalation of the situation in the zone of the Karabakh conflict.
During the conversation with Pashinyan, Putin expressed serious concern over the resumption of large-scale clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Serious concern was expressed from the Russian side over the resumption of large-scale military clashes. It was noted that it is now important to take all necessary efforts to prevent further escalation of the confrontation, and most importantly, military operations must be stopped,” the Kremlin’s statement said.
