Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of the National Day.
“It is indisputable that the bilateral relations between Armenia and France, founded on common values and centuries-old friendship, bear a privileged character. The exceptional political dialogue between the two states allows for successful cooperation on numerous programmes and issues of mutual interest,” Pashinyan stated.
He stressed that with regard to the tragic events of last year (the 44-day Artsakh war — ed.), Armenia expresses its sincere gratitude to friendly France for its impartial stance and the support shown to the peaceful population of Armenia and Artsakh.
“France and the French were once again by our side during this difficult historical period,” the acting prime minister emphasised.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia attaches great importance to France’s strong engagement, in the format of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, in the process of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia wished Macron good health, unwavering will and successes in all initiatives on the occasion of France’s National Day, and peace and prosperity to the French people.
