The National Assembly began its work today by honoring the memory of those killed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border overnight with a minute of silence.
National Assembly President Alen Simonyan stated that Azerbaijani forces opened fire in several directions toward the Republic of Armenia, and that there are casualties and wounded.
“In the current situation, both the people and the political forces must be maximally united. In this situation, we cannot give room to political disagreements,” he said.
Simonyan urged the public to follow only official information.
He also announced that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will arrive at the National Assembly at 11:00. A draft resolution regarding the Azerbaijani attack will also be presented and discussed in the National Assembly today.
Artsvik Minasyan stated that today they came to the National Assembly to propose setting aside the current agendas and discussing the situation that has arisen and what the country must do.
