President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian left today for Brussels on a working visit.
During the visit, meetings are planned between Armen Sarkissian and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and other high-ranking officials.
“With the leaders of European institutions, the President of Armenia plans to discuss issues related to the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh and Turkey’s overt involvement in it, as well as the facts of artillery shelling by the Azerbaijani side of border settlements of the Republic of Armenia.
It is expected that the leadership of NATO and European institutions will do everything possible to halt the military operations by Azerbaijan and NATO member Turkey, which would make it possible to bring to life the agreements reached regarding the ceasefire,” the president’s press service stated.
