The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has met with the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
The President of Armenia expressed his gratitude to the President of the Palestinian National Authority and to the government for everything they do for the Armenian Church, the president’s press service reports.
He noted that the section of the Church of the Nativity administered by the Armenian Apostolic Church is not only part of history and Christianity, but also part of Armenia, of Armenian culture and heritage, and most importantly, it is part of the Armenian Church.
“We are grateful for your support in preserving the Armenian spiritual and historical heritage and Christian values,” said Armen Sarkissian.
