According to data from the first half of 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year, in the Republic of Armenia:
– The manufacturing industry grew by 8.7 percent.
– The accommodation and food service sector grew by 33.8%.
– Passenger transport by air grew by 28.2%.
– Trade turnover grew by 8.9%.
In January-July of this year, compared to the same period of the previous year, the economic activity index stood at 6.8 percent. In July, compared to June of this year, economic activity grew by 12.8 percent, the Statistical Committee reports.
In January-July, industrial output grew by 8.4 percent, construction volume by 4.5, trade turnover by 8.9, and the volume of services by 15.2 percent.
The average monthly nominal wage grew by 5.9 percent during the same period.
During the aforementioned period, foreign trade turnover grew by 2.3 percent. Within that, export volumes grew by 3.0 percent and import volumes by 1.9 percent.
