Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, and the delegation he headed.
The Prime Minister, appreciating the RA-EU cooperation, highlighted the visits to Armenia this July by the President of the European Council and the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, and noted that the current Government is working towards finalising the priorities of the 2.6 billion euro financial package provided to Armenia by the EU, in line with the outcomes of those visits.
Toivo Klaar reaffirmed the EU’s political commitment to continue its support to our country in the directions considered a priority by Armenia.
The interlocutors discussed issues on the Armenia-European Union partnership agenda. They touched upon the prospects for developing ties in infrastructure, trade-economic, business and other sectors.
The RA Prime Minister and the EU Special Representative exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Both sides emphasised the importance of resuming negotiations within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship. The parties also touched upon other issues of regional significance, exchanged views on the opening of transport communication routes, the government reported.
