As of December 23, the 2019 state budget has been overfulfilled by 89 billion drams, or 185 million dollars. This was announced by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
“We have had this much additional tax revenue compared to what was forecast/planned for the 2019 budget.
Of the amount collected, as of the same day, 40 billion drams have been spent on paying off overdue VAT (value-added tax) credits, that is, previously accumulated debts to economic entities have been closed. This year, a total of 150 billion drams has been returned to the economy in VAT,” he added.
As for the overfulfillment of the state budget, Nikol Pashinyan expressed no doubt that by the end of the year it will be much larger.
