Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has declared that at this stage the Nagorno-Karabakh issue has no diplomatic solution, because Azerbaijan wants to resolve the issue only by military means, and the only option acceptable to them is the surrender of Artsakh.
“We must clearly realize that the NK issue, at least at this stage and from this stage on for quite a long time, has no diplomatic solution, and all those hopes and proposals that a diplomatic solution must be found, especially in this situation, we must consider finished. We have repeatedly said that we have the readiness to resolve the issue through compromises. That means that we can lower something from the bar we have set for the sake of a solution, provided that the other side also lowers something from its bar. But experience has shown that this logic is no longer acceptable to Azerbaijan,” Pashinyan noted.
The Prime Minister emphasized that in this situation we must fight to the end, unreservedly and unwaveringly for the rights of our people.
“Regardless of what happens, we must fight for the rights of our people. Today, fighting for the rights of our people means first of all taking up arms and devoting ourselves to the cause of defending the homeland’s rights. It is in the case of organizing this process effectively and continuously that we will be able to reach a diplomatic solution acceptable to us. Azerbaijan says it agrees to nothing other than the surrender of Karabakh. Therefore, protecting the rights of the people of Artsakh means protecting the rights of the Armenian people. Without Artsakh there is no Armenia,” the Prime Minister said.
