The published results of the parliamentary elections are highly controversial and inspire no confidence, stated the Armenia Alliance in a declaration it issued.
“They stand in extreme contradiction with the various manifestations of public life that we have witnessed over the past eight months, with all the results of public opinion surveys — including international ones — and, finally, with simple common sense.
During the campaign, the extremely well-attended rallies of the opposition forces and the visibly poorly attended events of the authorities pointed to the existence of entirely different public sentiments, as did the crisis of confidence prevailing in the country.
The most serious grounds for the lack of confidence are the hundreds of alarms coming from various polling stations on election day itself, which testify to a systematic and pre-planned falsification of the election results.
Taking the above into account, the Armenia Alliance sets itself the task of conducting a deep and well-argued examination of the recorded and presumed violations, which we are undertaking immediately.
Until all problematic questions receive exhaustive explanations and doubts are dispelled, the Armenia Alliance will not accept the results of the elections,” stated the communiqué.
