The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has presented Armenia’s priority for the further implementation of the 10 November trilateral statement. The Prime Minister of the RA made a post on his Facebook page, which we present below.
“Our priority for the further implementation of the 10 November trilateral statement is the following.
- Full implementation of point 8 of the statement, according to which there must be a full exchange of prisoners of war, hostages and other detained persons, as well as bodies. It is also important for us to carry out extensive search-and-rescue operations in the zone of the military operations that took place.
- The unblocking of all economic and transport infrastructures in the region, which means both cargo transportation by Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan and transport communication towards Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as cargo transportation by Azerbaijan through the territory of Armenia and transport communication towards Nakhichevan.
I again draw attention to the fact that in the 10 November statement there is no expression “corridor” either in relation to “Meghri” or to any territory of the RA.
The choice of routes for communication from Armenia to Russia and from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan is a subject of separate discussion, an important condition for the effectiveness of which is the increase in the scope and effectiveness of the exchange of prisoners of war, hostages, other detained persons, the bodies of the killed, as well as search operations for the missing.”
