It is important that the upcoming early parliamentary elections in Armenia be free and legitimate. As reported by Armenpress, acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who is participating in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kazan, said this in an interview with an Izvestia correspondent.
“It is important that the elections be free, and that the citizens of Armenia have the opportunity to elect a new parliament under conditions of legitimacy and free expression of will,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
In response to a question, the acting prime minister stressed that he has no disagreements, and had none, with acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and other members of his political team. Pashinyan emphasized that he and Avinyan are political like-minded individuals.
Speaking about the prospects of relations between Yerevan and Moscow after the elections, Nikol Pashinyan noted that this question should not even be discussed. “Relations with Russia have been, are and will be good,” he stressed.
