A supporter of Robert Kocharyan has offered a March 1 case victim to withdraw their testimony; the police, through extensive investigative measures and prepared materials, have obtained factual data that Robert Kocharyan’s supporters met with individuals affected by the events of March 1, 2008, and with eyewitnesses, and attempted to bribe them so that the latter would withdraw their testimonies.
In particular, one of Robert Kocharyan’s supporters invited one of the individuals affected by the March 1 events to his office in Kanaker and offered them to renounce their victim status, their given testimony, and not to appear at court hearings, stating that he was ready to pay the amount that the state would provide as financial support.
In addition, he promised that after a name change, the victim would be appointed to a high position.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the police. Within the framework of the criminal case, searches have been carried out among other actions. The circumstances are being clarified through the investigation.
