The Parliament, by secret ballot, elected Rouben Roubinian to the post of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. Roubinian’s candidacy was proposed by the “Civil Contract” faction.
After the vote, the chairman of the counting commission, Narek Babayan, announced that 70 deputies participated in the vote, all of whom voted in favor of Roubinian’s candidacy.
For the other deputy speaker post of the National Assembly, the Civil Contract candidate is Hagop Arshakyan. For the post of third deputy speaker of the National Assembly, the opposition “Armenia” faction has proposed the candidacy of Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
