“In difficult times, aid is a guarantee of a better future for the people of Armenia.” Along with this message sent by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, a second plane loaded with humanitarian aid — medical equipment and supplies — arrived in Armenia from Serbia on 19 June.
As a practical continuation of the understandings reached between Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, the first plane carrying Serbian aid had landed at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport on 18 July, bringing essential medical equipment and large quantities of supplies to Armenia.
According to the Department of Public Relations of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the two planes of the Serbian airline transported to Armenia 10 artificial respiration devices, 10 patient monitoring devices, 500,000 surgical and 100,000 respiratory masks, 25,000 protective goggles, 25,000 medical protective suits and other necessary supplies.
The warm relations between Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić are at the source of this valuable aid provided to Armenia as support in the fight against the “Corona” pandemic.
