The 53-year-old shepherd Surik Matevosyan, abducted by Azerbaijanis, has been handed over to the Russian side. This was stated by the head of the Tegh community, Davit Ghulunts.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijanis had abducted the shepherd of the Tegh community in the Syunik Province, Surik Matevosyan, while he was grazing sheep.
The information had been reported by the secretary of the community staff, Artak Baghdagyulyan.
“The Russian border guards have already been informed of the incident, and negotiations are underway for his return,” Baghdagyulyan had said.
He had noted that the incident took place between 16:00 and 16:30, but he could not provide details.
The Azerbaijanis also took the shepherd’s flock of 500 sheep.
