Singapore Prime Minister Pays Tribute to Armenian Genocide Victims at Tsitsernakaberd

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, in Armenia on an official visit at the invitation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. According to Armenpress, on 29 September the Singapore Prime Minister laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide and placed flowers at the eternal flame. Lee Hsien Loong visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, where he made an entry in the visitors’ book.

“The Armenian people demonstrated great willpower and courage after the tragic events of 1915. I wish you lasting peace, security and harmony,” the Prime Minister wrote.

 

 

The Singapore Prime Minister visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex with his wife. They were accompanied by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts.
