As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 21,603 of the 44,339 eligible citizens, or 48.72 percent of voters, had participated in the local self-government body elections held in 19 communities.
It should be noted that local self-government body elections were held in 19 communities in the Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Tavush and Shirak provinces, of which 13 were regular elections and 6 were early elections.
In 12 of the aforementioned communities, only community head elections were held; in 6 communities, only council member elections; and in one community, both community head and council member elections took place simultaneously.
It should be noted that as of 8:00 p.m., polling stations were closed and the vote count has begun.
