Aram Torosyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, has stated that as of 15:00 the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is extremely tense.
“Starting from 13:00, along the entire border from Sotk to Goris, the enemy has resumed intense rocket and artillery strikes, also targeting civilian settlements and making extensive use of attack drones.
Strikes have also been carried out against the transport vehicles of the Russian Federal Security Service conducting a humanitarian mission in the combat zone. This is further evidence that, despite official Baku’s statements, the Azerbaijani armed forces make no distinction between targets.
Alongside the rocket and artillery strikes, Azerbaijani units have also resumed attempts at positional advancement,” said Aram Torosyan.
It should be noted that in the Ministry of Defense’s morning communiqué today, it was stated that during the night of September 13–14, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border continued to remain tense. In particular, in the direction of Jermuk, the adversary used attack drones. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
On the remaining axes of the attack unleashed the previous day, although no significant incidents were recorded, starting from 08:00 today the adversary, using artillery, mortars and large-caliber firearms, has again begun offensive operations, particularly in the directions of Verin Shorzha and Jermuk.
The Armenian Armed Forces are undertaking proportionate response operations, continuing to fully carry out the combat tasks assigned to them.
In fact, despite the international community’s clear reaction to the situation, Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership continues its aggressive operations against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, shelling both military and civilian infrastructure.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has declared that the entire responsibility for the situation and its further developments falls on Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership.
