Those wounded as a result of the attack on the Gavar medical center are in different hospitals; the lives of several are in danger.
During a conversation with journalists, this was stated by the RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
“The lives of some of the wounded are in danger, but I cannot provide other details. Fortunately, there are no casualties or wounded among the medical staff, but that fact in no way justifies such behavior. Any encroachment against healthcare workers is far more serious than if it were on the street or in everyday life,” the minister noted.
In response to a journalist’s question as to whether the information is correct that the wounded sustained injuries to the facial area, Torosyan did not answer and emphasized that law enforcement bodies are currently dealing with the matter.
The RA Minister of Health said that the walls, doors, windows and sanitary facilities of the hospital were damaged, and they will be restored in the near future.
It should be noted that on 28 April, around 17:40, gunshots were heard near Gavar University in the city of Gavar. Two people died, four were taken to hospital with bodily injuries, after which an attack also took place on the hospital.
