RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan considers it early to speak about the next meeting between RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Armenpress, Mnatsakanyan said this during a conversation with journalists on January 16.
“The negotiation process is ongoing; we have never avoided negotiations. On the contrary, we are very actively engaged in the negotiation processes. There have been a considerable number of meetings at the level of ministers; the Prime Minister had an official meeting in March, and there have been unofficial meetings. We announce a meeting simultaneously through the co-chairs. It is still early to speak about a Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting. We continue to work at the level of foreign ministers,” Mnatsakanyan said.
RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan considers the disruption of stability in the region alarming for Armenia. He said this while referring to the developments taking place in the Middle East between the United States of America and Iran since the beginning of the year.
“The disruption of stability in the region neighbouring us is very alarming for us. In that regard, we are working with our partners… Our immediate partners have differences, and that also has an impact on regional security and the security of our country. We truly hope that it will be possible to stabilise the situation only through peaceful and negotiated means and to avoid developments that lead to escalation,” Mnatsakanyan said.
