For exceptional services rendered to the Republic of Artsakh, for the courage and personal bravery displayed, Suren Barseghyan (to my right in the photo) is to be conferred the highest title of “Hero of Artsakh”, while his deputies Arayik Galstyan (to my left in the photo) and Andranik Mkrtchyan are to be awarded the “Combat Cross” First Class medals. The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, announced this on his Facebook page.

In accordance with my decision, for exceptional services rendered to the Republic of Artsakh in the cause of the defence and security of the Homeland, for the courage and personal bravery displayed, Suren Barseghyan (to my right in the photo) is to be conferred the highest title of “Hero of Artsakh”, while his deputies Arayik Galstyan (to my left in the photo) and Andranik Mkrtchyan are to be awarded the “Combat Cross” First Class medals.
Suren Barseghyan has been at combat positions with a volunteer militia detachment since 29 September. The detachment formed in Yerevan, under the command of its leader, has carried out numerous heroic military operations, repelling the enemy and inflicting heavy losses upon them. Many of the men have also been nominated for awards.
