The term of the National Assembly’s investigative commission examining the circumstances of the 44-day war has been extended by 6 months.
The relevant National Assembly draft was adopted by vote, receiving 59 votes in favor, 29 against, and 1 abstention.
Commission Chairman Andranik Kocharyan had stated that the list of invitees has been determined, on the basis of which current and former high-ranking military and political officials have been and will be invited. Many war participants and relatives of the fallen have applied to the commission, who will likewise present numerous pieces of information and audiovisual materials to the commission on an individual basis.
Kocharyan had also assured that this would be the final extension.
