The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, delivered a video message from Shushi.
“Today, at this decisive historical moment, when the Turkish-Azerbaijani and terrorist hordes have attacked the land of Artsakh with all their military means, aiming to annihilate or expel from their own homeland the Armenians of Artsakh who have lived in their birthplace for millennia, we are fighting a life-and-death struggle under conditions unequal in every respect.
Now they are threatening our homeland and existence not only along the entire front line, but also by deploying the most serious military means in the direction of Shushi, aiming to seize at all costs our proud fortress-city.
Shushi is not merely a city; it is the symbol of the Armenian people’s determination to live in their own birthplace, the symbol of the Armenian people’s victories. Shushi is the beating heart of the entire Armenian nation.
As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Artsakh, I call once again: unite, let us defend our Shushi together, our Artsakh, our national dignity…” — stated in the message of the President of the Republic of Artsakh.
