Due to the unprecedented rise in temperature, the drinking water problem in Stepanakert continues to remain a pressing concern. This was reported by the State Service of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh.
The working group created jointly by the State Service of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the “Jurmug Koghugi” CJSC is supplying water to the residents of Stepanakert around the clock.
The service has mobilized its full capacity to supply water according to a specific schedule.
Fire trucks are driving through the streets, delivering life-giving drinking water to the population. Rescuers are also assisting the elderly and people with disabilities.
At this moment, about 30 percent of the capital has a water problem. By order of Minister of Internal Affairs Karen Sargsyan, water supply will continue until the drinking water issue is finally resolved.
Yesterday, water supply continued from morning until late night, resuming at dawn. The work was monitored by the director of the State Service of Emergency Situations, Mekhak Arzumanyan.
