Ahead of the upcoming presidential elections in Artsakh, representatives of the “Mayilyan-New Artsakh” alliance of parties, led by presidential candidate Mr. Masis Mayilyan, recently visited the villages of Spitakshen, Mushkapat and Karmir Shuka in the Martuni region. We learn this from Masis Mayilyan’s official Facebook page.
The purpose of the visit was the opportunity for direct contact with people in an informal atmosphere.
“The simple and sincere conversations showed how disappointed people are with the current situation in the country, with social injustice, how their faith has been shaken, and how much they are in need of simple, humane and caring treatment. Despite the thousand and one trials they have been through, the difficulties and hardships they have endured, people have nevertheless not entirely lost hope that it is possible to change the situation, to bring the country onto a path of civilized development, to carry out radical reforms and to once again inspire hope and faith in citizens,” wrote the presidential candidate.
In addition, one of the purposes of the visit was to participate in discussions organized by activists of the “Country of Equal Opportunities” youth-civic initiative. During the extensive discussions, both the serious mistakes and shortcomings of the past and effective mechanisms for overcoming the current situation were discussed.
Representatives of the “Mayilyan-New Artsakh” alliance particularly emphasized the need to overcome monopolies and to form a favorable economic environment for small and medium-sized businesses. They stressed the importance of an inclusive policy, so that people’s indifference is broken and their active participation in state-building is ensured.
Special attention was paid to improving the lives of villagers, the balanced development of territories, the development of clear programs for the development of villages and the involvement of villagers in them, so that these programs are developed and adopted with the participation of communities, taking into account local peculiarities and the preferences of residents.
In conclusion, summarizing the impressions he received from the meetings, Mr. Mayilyan wrote: “These meetings inspire us with additional strength and optimism. There is no higher appreciation than when people say: they speak from our hearts…
Yes, this time everything will be to your liking.”
It should be noted that the ADL body of Artsakh has joined the “Mayilyan-New Artsakh” alliance and supports the presidential election candidate, Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan.
