The Regional Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party in Greece, with deep sorrow in their hearts, announces the death of a faithful, long-standing party member and leading member of the circle, Tigran Kajikian, which occurred on Monday, April 12, in Athens.
The late colleague of ours had, for decades, a fruitful and devoted party, union and community activity, and through his dedication, patriotism, noble character and good reputation, he enjoyed great respect in our Greek-Armenian community. His departure creates an irreplaceable void in our already diminished circle.
He was born in Nikaia (Piraeus) in 1945, into the family of Hayk and Nazik Kajikian, being the eldest of the family’s three children.
After receiving his primary education in Greece, he attended the Melkonian Educational Institution in Cyprus, then the American University of Beirut, specialising in psychology.
Tigran Kajikian, joining the ranks of the ADL in Greece, also became a member of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and the “Ararat” Cultural and Athletic Union, bringing his active participation to the national-community life of the colony, particularly as long-standing chairman of the ADL Regional Board in Greece.
In 1977, he established a family home with Sonia Stambolyan and was blessed with two children, Hayk and Romina.
The memory of the late colleague, a faithful soldier of the cause, will always remain alive in the hearts of those who had the fortune to know him and enjoy his friendship.
On this sad occasion, the Regional Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party in Greece expresses its heartfelt condolences to the late man’s wife, Sonia, his children, Hayk and Romina, his brothers, Yeprem and Kevork, and to all his relatives, friends and comrades in the cause.
Incense and prayer to his bright memory. Eternal light and peace to his good soul.
May the earth rest lightly upon you, dear colleague.
